Action plan for 2004-05

Respected/Dear Alumni,
Here is the brief of the action plans to be carried out for the session 2004-05.
1. Conducting a One day Industry Institute Interaction Program
On "Engineering and Managerial Skills" on 2nd October 2004 where reputed
industry persons and academicians will be invited to address our students. Hon 'ble
Industry Minister will be invited as chief guest. There will be a session for
students to Pick Mr. Personality and Miss Personality of the day based their
Scholastic Aptitude , General Knowledge and Personality and will be awarded
Gold, Silver and Bronze medal. There will be cultural program in the evening. If
u suggest we can have a session for alumni also.
2. A career guidance cum placement assistance cell to be setup on behalf of
alumni association consisting of some faculties, alumni and 3rd year students
to assist T& P dept of college for campus recruitment and providing hospitality
as well positive feedback to campus recruiters.
3. Best Graduate of the college will be awarded Gold medal every year in annual
Alumni Function starting from this year.
4. First ever annual alumni meet to be conducted at UCE Burla with Family
get-together in November/December 2004. Accomodation for one day program for
members with their family will be arranged in hotels in Sambalpur on payment
basis, in case of necessity. The function will be conducted in College Football
Ground. Honorable Governor will be invited as CG.
5. On the eve of inaugural Function of Golden Jubilee (August 2005),we are planning to organize an International Conference on "Bio-Informatics and Biotechnology" in April 2005 on behalf of Alumni Association to be sponsored by various industries , where President/Vice President or HRD Minister of centre will be invited as CG.
Many other activities are also on the cards.
I am sure and hopeful that with the unconditional support of all the members ,we
can implement these plans and really see our alma mater
smiling with glory before the Golden Jubilee Inauguration Function.

Also creative suggestions are highly anticipated.
