Your waiting ends here... Honorable Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik has agreed to inaugurate the Golden Jubilee of alma mater on 8th of April as Chief Guest... Honorable union cabinet minister Sri Chandra Sekhar Sahu will be the Chief Guest on 9th of April... We are tying up the political leaders from Delhi & industry leaders as Guest of Honor for 8 & 9 April... Host of Industry captains are expected to join us... We will publish their names once we get their consent...
Your happy haunting ground of yesterday is all set to embrace you... Thousands of alumni & VIPs are expected to land on 8 & 9 April... Detailed program, specially packaged for you, has been chalked out for your 2 days stay at the UCE campus... Down the memory lane, it will be unforgettable 2 days for you... we are exploring celebrity singers from Mumbai who will rock your heart... Our college boys n girls are also ready with thrilling performance shows... Those two days will be entirely ours... Friends of yesteryears shall reunite... There will be sightseeing programs for our family members & children... In short, we will experience all that we have been missing for years together eversince we left UCE campus in a crash session of 2 days...
So, work out yr calendar and plan yr programs from now... Staying, fooding, conveyance have been planned... Two wings in every hostels is being spared for single alumni... All the guest houses of industries in the region are being requisitioned... We are negotiating with local hotels for max discounts in room tariffs... If you confirm yr arrival, hotel rooms can be booked against yr name (and you have to pay for it)... This is what you have to do for booking yr accommodation... Another milestone is that our fund has crosses Rs 50 lakhs mark... Initially, we struggled hard to accumulate few lakhs of rupees and now we have just grossed Rs 50 lakhs... I am sure, in matter of months, we will achieve the targeted collection of Rs 3 crores... You must visit the campus to see for yourself as to how the money has been put to use...
Another very satisfying thing is that college has commissioned 50 PCs in Internet Centre.... 2 MBPS leased line connection is all set to replace the 64 KBPS line in next week... College has acquired the capability of on-line test and students recently appeared on-line testing of TCS two weeks back... Work is going on full swing for library automation and Language Lab (which is a modern set up for enhancement of listening & communication skill, modelled on TOEFL pattern... It will be first such Lab in Orissa )...
