Hey Guys!!! CRT sir has become our principal. We fondly remember CRT sir, as RSS sakha pracharak and fondly call him Chitta Bhai. He taught us EEE-I partially. He was very kind and passionate about his students and profession. I wish all success to him. Hope he will bring back lost glory to our beloved UCE.
With all my requests our UCE site is not updated yet. Hope some of our student friend out there at UCE Burla listening to it. Bye GOD BLESS

When I first entered to this place, the first thought came to my mind "Ye kahan aa gaya main". Thanks to my ever respected teachers who always reminded us that 'we are outsider'.
Still we enjoyed life in UCE . senior's ragging, search for class room and of course rarely available teacher, conflict with seniors, feel good mid-sem and heart breaking end-sem, one night exam preparation, khatti, screaming AVC, Smoking joints, dhabas, wild hostel nights, Holi, Diwali, Summer Pakhal, queue for roti and grand feasts@ East Hostel...
UCE is really an emotional word for me. Perhaps that's why the last time I cried publicly, when I left UCE.

I would like to go down the memory lane to remember the much talked about one-day preparation for the exams, the sleepless nights, without text-books, busy xerox machines, empty shelves of central library, notes from the girls of L.H. & N.H., hard labor to read the invisible copied noted, consumption of cigarettes, safals etc. Special thanks goes to all my dear girl-batch mates, budha dokan, p.c. canteen, mitu xerox, moreover all my beloved, learned, helpful fellow boarders to have made all my attempts with my pen on exam paper successful & memorable ones. I would salute U.C.E., manufacturing science department, all my teachers for their sweet and sour words, all UCEans i met during my UCE days, all the queens of my so called world of love and imagination which enabled me to think literally, every grain of sand & soil of UCE campus...........I really miss you all.......and I would like to pray to god to allow me 4 years of my life span in my next birth to be a student of U.C.E., Burla.

Life changed after getting in and out of UCE. Found so many friends.. so many memories and after all a new definition to the life. Life was never so colorful. We alll grow in a dream to be an engineer/doctor. I am talking about 1996 or before where engg colleges are not that much into pic or business. All the time we thrive to get into a college then life is a wild sanctuary. The world belongs to you there you meet a lovely lady UCE. All the years have their own taste. First year was not bad and the final year was not that enjoyable as we thought of. But after all that small place tons of friends has its own charm. small shops, bridge stands as a monouments of the past history reminding you about "you are part of it". We never care when we are getting or staying with someone. but we start missing in his/her absence. I miss her a lot....lot.... Sometimes want to get out of this programmed world, getting out of this infinite loop and hug her, hug the beautiful lady known as UCE..... Hats off to you.

Poeple always think, an environment changes their life, but its wrong, people can make an environment to live in their own way.......... People come to UCE, they will learn and earn but still not happy........ Because they did their graduation from a state level college........ First thing is they dont know their potential.... They dont know what they got from UCE.......... Compare yourself with others who are from some National level institute............. You will find yourself somewhere in the TOP..... People dont like UCE environment.... Do you think..... You will enjoy your engineering degree more than what you enjoyed in UCE..............NO...Right???
I am a software developer................ I am proud...... NITians are testing my softwares........ Because people knows the potential of UCE products.........
I have the capability to go in my own way..... Because I am an UCEian..................... "I AM PROUD TO BE AN UCEIAN"

The following are few UCE Memories that allways reminds the golden days in my life:
1. Chicken curry with roti at Remed. 2. Evening gossips at PC Bridge. 3. Moving with luggage on head from Hirakud railway station to UCE in the cold winter nights at 1AM. (Courtesy Bokaro Express) 4. Summer swim at Mahanadi. 5. Fear filled nights during first year. 6. Training from Seniors- " How to make TOPO". 7. Volleyball matches at East and New Hostel. 8. Sevu-bundi from Ponda canteen. 9. Cycling to Burla town just for nothing ( of course to have some Medical College jhalaks...). 10. Moving to college with slippers and unwashed faces ( kyon ki class to poora sookha hai - Mech.). 11. Preparation for exams only during the gaps. No book - purchase new for 2 days preparation. 12. Film festivals at AVC and vedio shows at Hostels. 13. Q for hot roties.
etc.etc. etc. etc..............
Hope, it is the same for every uceian
